Saracens Amateur RFC Takeover the StoneX

Jack Goldberg30 Jan - 18:31

We really did takeover! Click here to find out more about our incredible day at the StoneX on a memorable January day.

A day out going to a Champions Cup game is great. A day out out going to a Champions Cup game when it's your local Club, your namesake and as part of a whole club take over is even better!

On a cold and cloudy Sunday afternoon, Stonex Stadium was taken over by the mighty Saracens Amateur RFC. With a maximum stadium capacity of 10,500, on Sunday, our Club took over over 400……425 to be precise…..seats. A fantastic effort and the biggest take up from a Saracens associated club. Coming from far and wide, after training and matches at
Bramley Road, Minis at Enfield and U12s playing a Middlesex fixture at
Chiswick, it was definitely a takeover.

A great day, seeing faces old and new, some older, most younger. From the
very choreographed big flag waving, to lining up as a guard of honour for the
players entering the arena, our Minis, Juniors and Sonics did the Club proud.
Seeing the squads getting on to the pitch at half time to play touch as well where,
minutes before Itoji, Willis and Daly et al were battling it out with Castres. All Age
Groups took part and the young players experienced a day not to be forgotten.

Some might have even got on TV!!!! A great effort by all involved, players,
coaches/managers organising the groups, parents attending and the Club for
setting this up with additionally thanks to Richard Hope from Saracens Community.
